Christian Albouy : mime artiste of many talents

Christian Albouy, mime artist turned clown, or clown turned mime artist, call him what you will, continues to surprise us. Sensitive, dynamic and full of humour, he takes pleasure in giving, and giving is what he does. His boundless imagination allows him to put on his one-man show “Postman Bidule” for a string of children at a village festival, to introduce mime to an English class at secondary school, to help solve problems between pupils and teachers, to improve the rehabilitation of those with multiple disabilities, to train adults and children in this art of mime - which he knows like the back of his hand...

Just as a musician knows how to listen, Christian Albouy knows how to observe. He works on his human material as might a skilful psychologist. Teaching through mime and personal development have become his life-goals. He works for the greater enjoyment of his public, both young and old: through a gesture or a glance they can feel all the emotion Christian has to communicate. He says nothing, and everyone can hear him.

And don’t think that Christian’s ambitions are limited to France. He likes to escape too, for a show in Finland, Brussels or New York. We may think of Christian as a mime artist in Albi, but in fact he’s an international magician!
